About Ghostlight Books

The history of our store goes back to 2017 on the start of our benefiting organization’s opening. Midsouth Youth Theatre & Arts volunteers collected books to sell online to help fund tuition-free productions and arts education opportunities for students in the Spring Hill community and surrounding areas.

With the onset of the public health crisis, opportunities for live performance and classes has been temporarily halted. In an effort to stay afloat and utilize empty rehearsal & classroom space, as well as serve our local community, the Board and leadership has opted to expand the bookselling operation to establish an in-person location! We look forward to continuing to support the families of our student, which include over 70% homeschool families, as well as reach more members of the local community by providing at-home entertainment in the form of books, movies and other media & gifts!

Midsouth Youth Theatre & Arts is dedicated to helping children to explore creativity through free or highly affordable shows, classes and other theatrical  and arts events. We believe in the following:

  • No child should be denied the opportunity to explore their creativity based on financial access.
  • Quality theatre and art is not limited to metropolitan areas and an abundance of talent and opportunity exists in Spring Hill.
  • Artistic instruction offers an exceptional environment to teach a wide variety of positive character attributes including confidence, teamwork, collaboration, positive peer support, creative problem solving.
  • The experience of participating in a theatrical production or group arts projects can create diverse, long-lasting friendships and provide a sense of community for children who may not fit the typical social mold.
  • There is no success creating negative attitudes and competition in the arts, only striving to be your personal best and learn to collaborate and support your fellow actors and theatre community.
